In 2001 Coppla unveiled Apocalypse Now Redux, a new cut of the film with many of the removed scenes added. Many have criticised these, claiming that they feel out of place or that they break the flow of the film.
This week we will be watching Apocalypse Now Redux. One key idea that I'm looking forward to hearing from you about, is whether or not Apocalypse Now Redux is a "true" representation of the Vietnam War.
Don't forget to come back next Monday to see what I think of Apocalypse Now Redux and to share your ideas on this timeless masterpiece.

ReplyDeletegood movie!
ReplyDeleteI say next movie is Badlands
ReplyDeleteBadlands! What a great idea. Will definetaly have that sometime in the next few weeks. FMJ is also a good one. Keep the ideas coming!
ReplyDeleteWith the release of the fourth installment so close, you should definitely look into a good discussion of the original 'Scream' movie. It's really a defining movie for this generation. It has such a wonderful sense of humor about itself in poking fun at all the ridiculous slasher film cliches, and at the same time it is undeniably terrifying with great twists and shocks. Whether you've seen it 100 times or are just experiencing it for the first time, it is always an enjoyable experience.
